Research Note

On 2 Apr 1911 The 1911 Census shows that Clipsy & Alice's marriage had lasted 3 years although the total number of children born to the marriage is 12 born alive, 10 still living and 2 died. There are 2 children with the surname of Carver, so possibly either Alcie had been previously married (or co-habiting) with a Mr. Carver or they were the illegitimate children of Clipsey. As Alice was a Housekeeper for John Carver in the 1891 Census, until I know otherwise, these children are shown as being the sons of Alice.3
