1921 Census

The 1921 Census was taken on the night of Sunday 19th June, 1921.  It had originally been planned that the census would be taken on the night of 24th April, but it was delayed because of strikes.

NOTE: For clarity , the Enumerators responses are shown in red.

NOTE: In cases where the enumeration district extends into more than one local sub-division, the boundary and contents of each part of the enumeration district must be described on a seperate page, and only the names of the local sub-divisions constituting the particular part of the enumeration district described on each page are to be given under the headings 1 to 8. In all such cases the words "part of" must be inserted after the number of the enumberation district , and the estimate of the number of families, i.e. seperate occupiers, must refer only to the part described on the same page. The mileage, however, must be stated for the entire Enumeration District, and should b e given on the first page containing the description of part of the district.
