Auxiliary Units were a secret resistance network of highly trained volunteers prepared to be Britain's last ditch line of defence during World War Two. They operated in a network of cells from hidden underground bases around the UK.
The Debenham patrol consisted of:
- Sgt. Rev. Trevor Waller
- Cpl. Arthur Douglas (Doug) Aldridge
- Pte. Thomas Herbert Oxborough, News Agent
- Pte. Leonard Charles (Lennie) Rowe
- Pte. Norton George Saunders, Bus Driver
- Pte. John Ritchie, Farmed at Poplar Hall
- Pte. William Edgar Harris, Teacher
- Pte. Reginald Charles Fisher
- Pte. Ruric Ronald Watson, local Milk roundsman, and a member for a short time only
The Debenham Patrol were part of Suffolk Group 3 (Framlingham) which was commanded by Captain George Scott-Moncrieff.
