Research Note

     
     On 29 Sep 1939 in the 1939 Register entry for John, his surname of PADDOCK is crossed out and replaced by KIMBELL - this is normally only done for women who have since married. Further research indicates that his name was wrongly crossed out and KIMBELL relates to the subsequent marriage of his mother, Stella.2
