     On 18 May 1879 Over 2 or 3 generations this family's surname was variously listed as Plant, Plantin, Planting, Plamping and Plumping. The clue came from the Burial Register, where the burial of Frederick Plant on 18th May 1879, has the following comment "Frederick PLAMPING or PLANT "Sophia corrected on Registry of Death."3"

The clue came from the Burial Register, where the burial of Frederick Plant on 18th May 1879, has the following comment "Frederick PLAMPING or PLANT "Sophia corrected on Registry of Death."1"

     On 14 Oct 1842 On the Marriage Record of George Cullum & Grace Anne Cosens, the Grooms fathers surname is given as Cosens (the same as the Brides father). I believe this to be a mistake by the Clerk. Please contact me if you have evidence one way or the other.2
