     Samuel Dove was born before 3 Dec 1782.2 He was baptized on 3 Dec 1782 in St. Mary Magdalene, Debenham, Suffolk, England.2 He was the son of Edward Dove and Sarah Mayhew.2 In Mary Petit's will dated 29 Jun 1823, Samuel Dove was named as executor; A further Executor was Edward (or Thomas?) Revans of Yoxford. Proved at London 20th December, 1837.3 Elizabeth Dove a further witness was Elizabeth Sheldrake, daughter of Edward Dove and Sarah Mayhew, on 24 Aug 1825 in St. Mary Magdalene, Debenham, Suffolk, England.4 Samuel Dove was the executor of Edward Dove's estate on 15 Apr 1831.5 Samuel Dove was the executor of William Vinall's estate in 1843 in Suffolk, England; PCC & County Court.6 Samuel Dove was the executor of Lionel Dove's estate on 15 Feb 1848 in Suffolk, England.7 Samuel Dove was the executor of Mary Dove's estate on 27 Oct 1854 in Canterbury, Kent, England; A further Executor was Edward Robert Dove.8 Samuel Dove died on 19 Jan 1860 in Debenham, Suffolk, England.9,10 He was buried on 25 Jan 1860 in St. Mary Magdalene, Debenham, Suffolk, England.11 His estate was probated on 13 Mar 1860; Executors were Edward Robert Lock the younger of Debenham Surgeon William Jackson of Debenham General Shopkeeper and Charles Steward of Ipswich Gentleman.
